Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte + Fall Golden "Milk"

Whether you prefer your own homemade lattes, Starbucks, Pete's, Dunkin', or mom-n-pop local coffee shops, we wanted to bring you a healthy lil' gem you could make at home (for when you're not in a hurry scooting through a drive-thru after busy school lines or baseball practice). Mama, meet this healthy pumpkin spice latte AND this fall golden milk!

PS - Not a coffee drinker? I'm not either, so that's why I wanted to make a recipe that could work either way...as a latte OR as golden milk. So, from my home kitchen to yours, I hope this gives you allllll the fall feels, and warms your belly as much as your sweet soul.

This homemade pumpkin spice latte is made with real food ingredients, has anti-inflammatory properties, and is as cozy in your belly as you are in our new fall retail line, which you can shop here.

Ingredients for Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte:

  • 1 1/2 - 2 tablespoons organic pumpkin puree (either out of a can or cook the pumpkin yourself, then puree it)
  • 1 cup organic and unsweetened cashew, almond, or coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoons organic coconut cream
  • 1 tablespoon raw, organic honey or maple syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon pumpkin spice/pie seasoning
  • A couple small shakes of tumeric
  • A pinch of ground black pepper (helps the tumeric absorb)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure, organic vanilla extract
  • 1/4-1/2 cup brewed coffee or shot of espresso

Directions for Healthy Pumpkin Spice Latte::

  1. Grab a small pan and begin to warm it over the oven on medium heat. Add the pumpkin, non-dairy milk of choice, honey or maple syrup, seasonings, and vanilla extract
  2. Use a whisk and whisk ingredients together as fast as you can for about 30-40 seconds, or until foamy consistency is achieved
  3. Pour your coffee or espresso into one of these FIT4MOM mugs
  4. Add pumpkin + milk mixture atop coffee
  5. Optional: if you have a milk steamer, steam extra non-dairy milk and add to top, then sprinkle with a little pinch of pumpkin pie spice (and love!)
  6. Enjoy!
